Special photography class hosted by Aaron Taylor Photography and Mrs. Goodman's Baking Co.
Conquer Your Camera and Level-Up Your Food Photography Course
I am excited to bring you a unique, one-of-a-kind photography class! I love photography and education. I especially love baked goods. So what could be better than a photography class at a bakery?
Join me and Mrs. Goodman's Baking Co. in Worthington, for my camera crash course and introduction to food photography.
First and foremost, my course is designed to move you camera dial off of "auto" and to help you take control of your camera so that you can create the photos you've always wanted to. As we conquer your camera, we'll explore elements of composition and the core principles of light to take your food photography to the next level.
Need one more reason to join? We'll have fresh baked goods and hot coffee!
Mrs. Goodman's will have scones, cinnamon rolls, and cupcakes ready to photograph (and eat!), and they'll have fresh Crimson Cup coffee for us. You'll even keep the collector's Mrs. Goodman's Baking Co. mug at the end of the class!

THE FOUNDATION - Focusing and The Exposure Triangle
For much of the class, we'll experiment with the "exposure triangle," learning the foundation of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Every photo you create comes down to manipulating the exposure triangle to produce the results you want. Soon enough, you'll be using Manual mode and wondering why you ever used an automatic mode to begin with!
As we discuss the fundamentals of the exposure triangle, we'll also learn how to use auto-focus properly and how to hold the camera. Yes, there's a right way to hold your camera!
This class is for anyone looking for the confidence to move your camera dial away from auto in order to take control of your photography.
Participants will learn the following:
- demystifying the buttons and settings of your camera
- how to focus properly
- why using aperture or shutter priority mode is easier and better than any auto mode
- the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, and iso) and how it affects your photos
- how to adjust your white balance
- tips for lighting and composing a photo with food!
We will spend most of the class doing hands-on practice with Mrs. Goodman's baked goods. That's right: the photos you create in class will all be with food!
If you have a camera that has been collecting dust or you'd like to take control your camera and learn how to create amazing photos of food, then join me for this one-of-a-kind class.
